Diesel commercial

I have no idea what it’s advertising and the idea is not exactly original, but this Diesel online viral titled “SFW—XXX” is silly and entertaining enough to merit a post. The commercial was directed by Keith Schofield of The Viral Factory and the spot’s animation directed by Neil McFarland at Big Animal.

    I already saw this nine times today from other sources, which makes me really internet. But I’m obviously not all that internet since that link to Encyclopedia Dramatica (which I never heard of) lead me on a seemingly endless research thread of other internet phenomenon I never heard of. All of a sudden I’ve lost an hour, but at the same time feel like I’ve never even been on the internet before.

    Uh, yeah. CB linked to ED… I’m surprised the internet didn’t break. The Brew has covered rule 34 though, so I guess it wasn’t the most shocking thing to me.

I don’t talk about animation (because animation, and etc. are things that I’m not interested in). The design is good enough not to tease you. But the literature, the script, and the cinema in this film are fantastic. Made me think about one of my favorite all time movies “Smoke”. Yes, this film is a full Auster-esque experience.
