Fantastic Gallery of Glen Keane’s Personal Drawings

In the course of reading up on Glen Keane, I ran across this extensive gallery of Glen’s figure drawings and sketchbook studies. They’re available for sale at the Galerie Arludik in Paris, but at $2,500 per drawing, all I can afford is the JPGs.

    Lovely!

This site is acting like the man died! So what will you post when he does die? Refer back to the posts from the end of this week?

Isn’t there still a glimmer of hope that he’ll go to Dreamworks or some other studio?

I hope he makes a big time studio that specializes in 2D. Maybe he might head over to that new paramount animation studio.

BTW we NEED a “The Art Of Glen Keane” book. so many artists always get their shine after they pass away. We need to honor this legend now! so he can inspire a new generation of computer animators!

Despite all the public yearning to the contrary, Glen Keane doesn’t really HAVE to open a new studio, bring back 2D, or do anything that would enliven an art form given up for dead. He already did that, and did it in spectacular fashion. Let this gifted artist live his life without a corporate deadline on his back for the first time in almost forty years.

    Thanks for sharing these.

I would like to see Glen Keane go the route of Bill Plympton but whatever direction he takes next, I’m sure it will be great,
