“The Frogs’ Bollocks” by Stephen Ong (NSFW)

A short sequence of animated cycles – with a rude twist – from UK based graphic designer Stephen Ong. Not-safe-for-work but funny as hell, The Frogs’ Bollocks and Other Assorted Bollocks.

An otherwise rather cute animation ruined by a tasteless joke. I don’t find it offensive, just kind of gross.

  • I see tumors.

At 43 seconds, the polar bear appears to be running backwards…

    • I thought that, then I figured I was just imposing my confused wrong view on the animation… then I didn’t know for sure.. then I wrote this… now I’m going over there for a spot of tea

  • BACKWARDS RUNNING POLAR BEAR! Liked the frog though ha ha.

  • It seems like a lot of work went into what is basically a lame dirty joke. More of a “oh, yeah, that’s funny because it’s testicles” than an actual laugh-out-loud joke.

    Cheered me right up :)

A cartoon with bollocks? I’ll subscribe.

It is nice that, for once, those of us with true bollocks are celebrated instead of the target of juvenile ridicule and derision. To make such a daring, honest and unflinching film takes mighty big balls.

There were several moments where the background for the characters was implied (the polar bear slipping into the water) which I thought were rather inventive. Otherwise, it’s too reminiscent of the South Park episode where Randy Marsh gives himself testicular cancer so he can have access to medicinal marijuana. And I suppose there will be those who say it’s “just like a man” to envision their scrotum to be that unrealistically large relative to the rest of their body. Still a nice bit of animated fun, even if it revolves around variations on one joke.

Kinda gross. Kinda not funny. Someone’s got a weird obsession, if you ask me.

  • you guys are such prudes. It’s ok to be silly once in a while. not everything has to be artsy fartsy. my lord. (OYO)<—Boobs.

I was awesome. I just didn’t get the rabbit got stuck in the hole action. And the bear seems to be runing backwards. anyway, keep up the good work.

You could dismiss it as a “lame dirty joke” or an artist’s obsession if you want. I personally saw it as an aesthetic homage to, and perhaps a thought-provoking study in, nature’s most well-endowed creatures.
