FAMOUS STUDIOS comic art
Comics auction house Heritage Comics just released a physical catalog and online listing of their February auction (Signature Auction #809 on Feb. 6-7).
This auction contains the first ever sale of vintage Harvey Comics artwork from the very first issues in 1952-53 containing comic art by Famous Studios animators Steve Mufatti, Marty Taras, Bill Hudson and Dave Tendlar (Some of the pages are mis-identified - I've contacted them to make corrections).
This is amazing stuff - it's as close to the animation as you can get in comic form - drawn by the very hands who made the animated cartoons.
There are complete stories and covers up for bid. Work by Warren Kremer, Otto Messmer and Sid Couchy are also represented in this auction. Go to the website and enjoy!
