Design and The Incredibles

Jessica Helfand weighs in on THE INCREDIBLES at DesignObserver.com. The article examines Bird's movie from a design standpoint, but the conclusion she reaches - that Pixar's contribution to animation is texture mapping - seems to completely miss the point of what she was writing about earlier: that creative design is what distinguishes INCREDIBLES from the hyper-realistic tendencies of films like THE POLAR EXPRESS. Still, it's a nice little piece and worth a click.
