Hey, I just wanted to say thanks so much for putting together these great “Artist of the Day” posts. I was super bummed when Drawn.ca closed up shop, but these posts have filled that much needed daily dose of inspiration. Thanks so much for all the hard work that goes into posting this work!

I met him back in May at a convention, and he was kind enough to go through my portfolio and give me some great advice. Truth be told, I didn’t know much about the man when I was talking with him; he happened to be sitting at the same table as one of my biggest inspirations, Mindy Lee. I got home, read up on him, and realized how awesome an opportunity I just had.

It’s probably a good thing I didn’t know as much when I met him, otherwise I would have stood there for 20 minutes grilling him for as much info on the industry as I could.
