I seriously want an anime based on that family in the thumbnail. I’m a sucker for this sort of light wholesome aesthetic.

  • Too Many Cooks

They’re my favorite comic artist currently working. They deserve to work on their own original property.

  • Rob Sharp

Been a fan of their work for such a long time so always happy when they get more recognition. Great stuff.

  • ランダム アニメーター

Chifuyu Sasaki’s and Naoko Kawano’s work is truly remarkable.

  • SkeletonMan

    Very cool!

However some of her work look suspiciously like Helen Chen, almost to the point of being a copy. Here’s one example: https://www.instagram.com/p/wxhUCXIZRB/?taken-by=mingjuechen

This, and the similar image in the post are both the same character, Silk, which both artists have worked on for Marvel. The Gurihiru image is a variant cover for an issue that Helen Chen also did a variant for. Nothing suspicious about it.

Everybody needs to read Marvel Adventures’ Power Pack. Gurihu’s 1st big work with Marvel, with adorable writing and character dynamics. I was surprised the brew dudes didn’t involve that

Don’t forget gurihiru’s character designs for Sonic Unleashed

  • This is all so amazing. :D I love Astrid with Stormfly and the small comic about that ghost and the girl. What’s that about?

    • C. Rose

That’s a panel from the Gwenpool comics – one of my personal favorites :)

  • Imran Sheikh

    Excellent artwork!

  • Graphical One

I followed these guys for well over a year now, and had no idea they were self taught.

  • Fongolia

Love Gurihiru! Their work on the Avatar comics faithfully builds on the story after the end of the tv series.

  • Landon Kemp

I really like Gurihiru’s work. It has an American vibe to it, but it’s still very distinctly Japanese. I hope to see more of their work in the future.
