Caoz Preps First Icelandic Full Length Animated Feature, “Legends of Valhalla”

The animation company CAOZ is in the final stages of the production of Legends of Valhalla — Thor, the first full feature Icelandic animated film. CAOZ Games has been working on development of a new computer game based on the world of the film and worked on the pre-development on the game with support from the High-5 programme by the Nordisk Film and TV fund. That support gave CAOZ and CAOZ Games the opportunity to work on the concept with various Nordic speicalists in the media and gaming industry.

After having developed a solid business plan for the game as well as a great concept for the game itself, with the help of the specialists in High-5, it is safe to say that that the work is going great. As of now the project has received grants from both MEDIA and the Nordic Council of Ministers and funding has been secured for the complete development of the game.

The game is based on characters and surroundings from Nordic mythology and the material is straight from the animated film. The Legends of Valhalla game will be on the internet and parts of it will be playable on smartphones and other devices.
