Disney Publishing Worldwide (DPW) thrills at the 2011 Comic-Con convention with exciting panels and signings including: a Disney/Marvel panel showcasing DPW’s Marvel publishing program through fall 2011; an exciting sneak peek at the recently launched Disney Comics App; and exclusive giveaways just for Comic-Con attendees at the DPW booth (#1016).

The DPW booth will showcase an assortment of books, comics, graphic novels, and magazines; preview upcoming releases; and product sneak peeks will be on display including The Art of Epic Mickey and Phineas and Ferb Across the 2 nd Dimension: Official Movie Magazine . A limited selection of product will also be for sale.

Disney Publishing recently launched Disney Comics App for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. Disney Comics gives readers instant access to one of the most extensive collections of comics, short stories, and graphic novels ever created, ranging from classic adventures starring Mickey Mouse to brand-new stories like Cars 2 and Toy Story . The Disney Comics App launched in the U.S. and is also available on the App Store in over 80 countries across the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia.

F or the first time, Disney Publishing is partnering with Marvel to take our publishing programs to the Marvel Universe–a place beyond our own vast imaginations, where Super Heroes swing from New York City skyscrapers and villains plot to advance their own self-interests. Marvel’s rich history is fertile ground for storytelling, and Disney Book Group’s newest imprint, Marvel Press, and DPW licensees will cultivate it with picture books, chapter books, novels, and storybooks, along with other groundbreaking ways of telling these amazing, classic stories.
