HIT Entertainment announced that Shari Donnenfeld has been appointed to the newly created position of Head of HIT Global Brands. This appointment further supports HIT’s commitment to creating and developing outstanding children’s properties around the world.  Donnenfeld will report into Edward Catchpole, SVP HIT Brands.

Donnenfeld is responsible for guiding the global brand and marketing strategies for existing and new properties in the portfolio of HIT Brands including Thomas & Friends, Mike the Knight, Fireman Sam, and Bob the Builder.

Previously, Donnenfeld held senior positions at Nickelodeon, The Walt Disney Company and Fox Kids Europe having begun her career at FCB advertising in New York.  Most recently, Donnenfeld has been running a consultancy business specialising in developing strong consumer-centric brand strategies for the launch and revitalisation of children’s television, digital and publishing properties serving a client base including international broadcasters, rights owner and digital start-ups.
