Barcelona, 26 September 2011: Imira Entertainment, Spain’s leading production and distribution company specialising in youth programming, has acquired worldwide distribution and licensing rights to two brand new series aimed at preschool and older which will line up alongside Lucky Fred on its MIPCOM slate.
The Lighthouse Island is a brand new 2D animated show aimed at 3-6 year-olds produced by TVC, publishers Editorial Claret and illustrator PilarÃn Bayés and his daughter Marga Sala, with the production coordinated by Imira. Also new on Imira’s third party distribution slate is Joco, a live action comedy for 3-7 year olds from producer El Terrat.
The Lighthouse Island 26X6Â´follows Dana, a seven year-old girl, who is tired of the long winter and needs a holiday. So she decides to take a magical trip to the beautiful Lighthouse Island. Her companions are Micu, a Labrador retriever and Dromi, an incredible lighthouse robot found on the island. Together they discover the wildlife of her new home, a natural paradise that opens doors to great and new adventures. The series is available in all territories.
