The Littlest Lamb (26 x 3) features the caring adventures of Littlest Lamb who builds a home along with his friends Rabbit and Bird and then provides a safe refuge for other vulnerable animals. Each episode features a new animal who comes to live in the home where they are appreciated, educated and, most importantly, loved.
Launching at Mipcom 2012, the series is based on a curriculum by Dr. Christine Ricci (Dora The Explorer) that encourages adults and children alike to care about the welfare of others.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with our friends at Little Airplane to make this important series,” said Mira Riad, Executive Director of The Littlest Lamb Organization. “Just as our orphanage will provide a safe haven for Egypt’s most vulnerable children, we believe that this new television series will provide inspiration to others who may want to care for those in need.”
“We were attracted to this project because we believe it will use television for a higher purpose: to encourage the stronger among us to take better care of the weaker among us,” says Josh Selig, President and Founder of Little Airplane Productions.
The Littlest Lamb is created by Josh Selig, Mira Riad and Mickey Riad and designed by Cassandra Gibbons. The series will be made entirely in Little Airplane’s New York studio. Creative and financial support for the development of the series was provided by Marina Barakat, Mike Keriakos, Tone Thyne and Fortuny Fabrics.
