What’s with Chuck Jones’ MGM shorts being on the set? Jerry Beck can you confirm this?

Damn you Warner and the ultimate collection box!

Hours and hours of documentaries? This is the kind of Blu-Ray treatment they should also have given Tom and Jerry.

By the way, how dare they include The Great Piggy Bank Robbery without so much as a mini-documentary on Bob Clampett? Were they afraid Chuck Jones wouldn’t have liked it?

Looks great, can’t wait to see it remaindered for $20 in two years, like the last round of Looney Tunes box sets (all of which I bought new out of the gate).

  • Pez

So what cartoons are new to home video on this set? Are there dvnr problems again? HD will show those off really nicely. Are the reds so blown out that it erases the line work on the characters? Are these even new transfers or just the same restoration released at a higher resolution?

  • Tre

Oh man what I’d give to have this, but I have a feeling the UK will be missing out on all the good stuff again so I’m not going to get my hopes up for this. Although it is annoying that the ‘Spotlight Collection’ DVDs seem to have stopped. :(
