O’Reilly vs. Obama as Smurfs

As much as we try to stay apolitical on the Brew – and as much as I’ve tried to avoid linking to Jimmy Kimmel – I couldn’t resist sharing this clip from last night’s show that mashes the Bill O’Reilly interview with President Obama and a clip from The Smurfs:

  • Toonio

Is this some kind of throwback to get people to see the new smurfs cgi movie?

Meh… should’ve had someone just mock it up in Flash. The bouncing back and forth was really distracting.

  • Karen

know he’s a talking head entertainer and not a journalist or legitimate source of news, but O’rally was inappropriately disrespectful towards our Presiden tObama. He deserves all the condemnation he’s getting, but his lack of shame is appalling.

    • Scarabim

O’Reilly’s never gone easy on Obama. Yet Obama keeps coming back to him for interviews. So Obama must feel that he’s benefiting somehow.

I liked the interview. It sure beat the fawning behavior Obama gets from the “ladies” on The View.

Tide goes in, tide goes out. You can’t explain that. Nor can anyone explain to me why anybody who was on Inside Edition should ever be taken as an authority on any subject, unless it’s tabloid crap.

  • Karl Hungus

I thought that, in a departure from his usual tone, he was very even handed and good spirited. It wasn’t a fluff piece. It was an interview about important issues.

that was poor… from the talk show cue card (when the red light comes on pause for laughs) intro to the pointlessly hacked together footage and audio

  • Steven M.

Hes right, it is better like that.

  • Nevermore

Adding relevant audio may be the only way to re-purpose this 1980′s Hanna-Barbera crap. But even that gets old fast.

As much as we try to stay apolitical on the Brew . . .

    What a madcap you are.
