Mickey Mouse Kimono

I think I’ve finally found a reason to have a kid: this traditional 1930s boy’s Japanese kimono decorated with images of Mickey is a beaut and it’s currently available for purchase. I’m not sure what I’d do with the boy after I dressed him up, but he’d look quite natty which is good enough for me.

(Thanks, Chappell Ellison)

Can you imagine being Amid’s kid and showing him one of your kindergarten drawings:

“Derivative, repetitive crap. I’ve seen it a million times before. When will children see the potential in crayons and do something innovative?”

Just kiddin’, Amid :0)

What does the word “Natty” mean in this context?

In my twisted mind, “Natty” means “like Natalie Portman”.

Seriously, people; you’re already online – how hard it is to look up?

nat⋅ty: neatly or trimly smart in dress or appearance.

And after hearing that, the poor Amid Jr would quietly go to his room, put on his Mickey kimono, and perform sepuku with his Donald katana.

…Or, he would flee and become a Ronin, putting his drawing skills at the service of the highest bidder —meaning he would end up in Dreamworks and produce Shrek XI (when Shrek’s triplets go to High School), to the despair of his father.
