“Shooby Shooby Do Yah!” by Czarek KwaÅ›ny

Polish animator/artist Czarek KwaÅ›ny plays with “Synthetic Cubism” in this lively musical piece. The whole thing is symbolic of the circle of life – or so he explains on his blog. Personally, I just think its a lot of fun.

  • In case you’re wondering, “synthetic cubism” is an art historical term, I believe coined by Picasso and Braque, invented to distinguish a more “intuitive” cubism than found in their earlier “analytical cubism,” which was more strict and much less colorful.

    The more you know!

Does that make it more a fitting description for here? I see no cubism. I’d call it stylized wonky. Not meant as a cut on the film, mind. I think it’s pretty cool.
