The Twelve Animated Days of Christmas, #10

Celebrating Christmas old-school Chipmunk style…

  • Ross W

Thank you Amid, I can’t wait to show this to my kids. Now will someone please explain why this series is not available on DVD?

  • Chris

    Alvin’s mock-singing face is priceless.

  • Dennis S.

Despite being limited animation this has got lots of charm, wit and personality.

  • Karl Wilcox

I loved THE ALVIN SHOW. An overlooked classic. Thanks!!

Oh Wow! (And me who adores marathons!) Now that IZ the perfect way to start a year!! Thank YOO!

  • uncle wayne

Oh, now, WOW! Now that IZZ a giant treat (and one not viewed for decades!) Imagine a prime-time (night-time) tv series based on a hit recording. (A Christmas one, to boot!) Thank YOO!

Ha! A book of poetry and a toothbrush as Christmas presents.

And I second the above-why no DVD release?

  • PCUnfunny

Now that’s how you make limited animation funny ! XD They just move simon up and down.

  • Randy

I’d forgotten how truly limited the animation was in those things. Showed this to a friend who said, “They made Alvin and the Chipmunk cartoons? I thought they’d just done the movie!”

I got a chuckle because the animators didn’t seem to now how a tape recorder is to be properly threaded. Of course, that could have been
part of the joke. I guess the i-pod® is the reel-to-reel of those days gone by.

I want the original series on DVD someday! I’m still holding on to two VHS tapes I made back in 1985 when they were showing these on TBS. I transferred one to DVD with my DVD recorder, but one of the tapes is jammed.

  • Keith Paynter

That’s the best!! The ’80′s Chipmunks have nothing on the original. Thanks, Amid!
