Woody Woodpecker Volume 2 – final box art
January 4, 2008 5:10 pm
Just wanted to follow up our announcement last week on Woody Woodpecker volume 2 with a sneak peek at the final box art. Goes on sale April 15th and is now available for pre-order on amazon.com. |
Not bad. never really liked Woody Woodpecker. Thought he was a two-bit knockoff of Bugs bunny, and a far more dislikable character.
Just can’t wait for it!
awesome! great work jerry! Terrytoons next!!!!!!! or another popeye!
Jerry, is this the final design or will there be more tweaking needed? Looks good so far.
Cool
who decided all cartoons have to be shiny now? WHO?!
Aside from that glossy, airbrushed look they have to use nowadays in most DVD packaging of animated stuff, it’s nice to see Splinter and Knothead appear here.
Lookin’ good! Can’t wait for it!
Not half bad! If only other animated boxsets had art this nice…
I’m really looking forward to this second set! Although I enjoyed the first set, I don’t care what anybody says, these are the cartoons I was looking forward to. The 50s material was the bulk of what I saw in the syndicated series in the 80s and 90s and I remember them being funny and a joy to watch. Also hoping for more Oswalds, Chilly Willy, Cartune Classics and Swing Symphonies and hopefully a third set of even more great stuff.
This must be based on that old cartoon (a fan favorite!) when Woody accidentally had his hand mutated by some nuclear waste Buzz Buzzard so sneakily put in his path!
“Not half bad! If only other animated boxsets had art this nice…”
Prize for worst cover art goes to Looney Tunes Golden Collection, Vol 2!
Aside from the fact that Woody’s head and facial expression is nearly Identical to that of the first box, I’d say it’s a pretty good-looking box.
Hopefully the sales will once again blow Universal away,
Hooray for The Beary Family (seriously)!
