Harvey Art Show Reception Friday

I hope to make it out there in October to sign copies of the Baby Huey book. Details to come. The Harvey art will be on display in San Francisco through November 30th. A New York show is in the planning stage. |

California and New York. Always only California and New York. I guess those in the cartoon cognoscenti figure us rubes in the “fly-over” states don’t give a hoot for exhibits and programs about animation and comics. Would it kill you people to come to Texas sometime?
CA and NY are major media centers. 99.9% of the world’s cool stuff happens there, always has.

If you must have a quote-unquote cartoon art museum, there’s the Toy and Action Figure Museum in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. http://www.actionfiguremuseum.com
That said, you’d probably draw a bigger crowd if you partnered with a local comic shop and exhibited in a regular museum. Austin Books & Comics (www.austinbooks.com) and Dallas’ Zeus Comics (www.zeuscomics.com — they run the CAPE Expo on FCBD) are two I’ try.
