I already know one Harvey fan who is a little let down Dark Horse couldn’t do a separate volume for each girl, stating good reasons for the trouble.

Hey Great Title! Lotta and Dot finally receive parity with Little Audrey- which is long overdue, considering they were more imaginative as well as more popular- but Audrey’s cartoon shorts seemed to always win influence to give her more acclaim whenever she was mentioned with the other two girls of this trio. Amazing work, once again, on this Harvey Series, congrats to you and Mr. Carbarga!

Whoa. Sorry, but Harvey Toons were the worst. I could not WAIT until they were over and we got to the good stuff..i.e. Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, Tex Avery. I suppose all genres have their fans, but to this this day I don’t get the appeal.

Cynthia — The comic stories are more original than the cartoons, which from 1951-56 were incredibly repetitious on Famous’ continuing series (the stories from 1956-59 are a lot more diverse, but suffer from the cuts in Paramount’s animation budgets).

Frankly I thought all the Harvey Comics were well-drawn and well-written. As a kid, I was especially fond of Spooky and Nightmare, but I pretty much read all of them. And it’s a pity they don’t really exist anymore as ongoing series. They beat the newer kids stuff - like that crappy Muppets comic - all to heck. There’s a real void out there for GOOD kids’ comics. About the only one I’ve seen that comes close is the Lions, Tigers and Bears series - and it’s been rather inconsistent of late (although basically it’s still a good comic - and it’s CRYING for a big-screen treatment).

Plus, Lotta’s morbid obesity makes her relatable to today’s kids.

Count me in. I haven’t been to MoCCA since I last volunteered there.
