You’re kidding, right? This is one of the stalest and creakiest jokes around.

Alex Dudley says:

That’s funny! It’s puntastic!

Yeah…Googling the phrase “someday my prints will come” gets 763 hits, and they ain’t about this cartoon. Kinda stale. But in general, yes, we do love Mother Goose & Grimm!

Yes, we do love Mother Goose & Grimm! Although I was giggling at “Someday your prints will come” as I’d never seen that before.

That joke has got to be 30 years old. But I guess he had to use it now before people start asking “what’s a “photolab”?”

I haven’t read MG&G in the longest, yet I’ve heard this joke 20 years before.

A lot of jokes about Disney Princesses going around, huh?

Uggggh, Mike Peters is the worst. How this hack got a comic strip is beyond me. On the other hand his work makes me appreciate
Ernie Bushmiller’s Nancy strips even more.

I used to hate Bushmiller but I have seen the light. I have totally drunk the Kool-Aid with the whole Nancy = Zen thing. I love them now.

Mike Peters is OK. I just can’t believe Jerry never heard this joke before. it was already old when I heard it as a kid. (Or maybe he HAS heard it before and now I’m missing some Zen thing!)

joecab – Hey, I never said I hadn’t heard the joke before – it’s ancient – I just love Peters continual use of gags aimed at animated cartoons in his comic strip.

… I didn’t hear this joke before…( i’m french, it’s probably the reason of my ignorance). So, it made me laugh ! Thanks Jerry !

jerry: oh right the animation thing! *ulp* You’d think I’d pay attention and remember the focus of this blog… yup you’re right he do put in a lot of cartoony stuff.

The joke was funnier when Fozzie Bear made it decades ago.

In fact, it was -only- funny when Fozzie made it, because Frank Oz is a brilliant performer.

This strip?

No so much.

That’s the best looking Snow White ever. Disney should digitally reinsert that head over the feature.

I graduated from Ringling School of Art & Design with Mike’s daughter and he was our keynote speaker for our graduation ceremony. The guy is a genuis!! He was one of the most entertaining speakers I’d ever heard at ANY function! At the end of his speech he pulled off his clothes and he was wearing a full Superman costume and the place exploded in applause! If you had been there you would understand why he was wearing it…but trust me it fit into his speech and it was AWESOME! Anyone that graduated from that year will remember it forever.

It’s an oldie but a goodie. but c’mon, the previous day’s one was even better.

I also thought of Fozzie Bear’s telling of the same joke when I saw this! (Glad someone else mentioned it!).

Fozzie – “That’s what we call a Disney joke.”

Statler & Waldorf – “No, that’s what we call a DISMAL joke!!”
