Didn’t take long.

Jason Peltz, who has worked for Marvel Comics, Disney Consumer Products and Disney Feature Animation in Orlando, sent in this drawing he made on the occasion of the announcement of the Disney’s Marvel takeover.

If you’ve drawn a clever image or cartoon reflecting this merger, send a link into our comments section below.

I’m digging the drawings guys. But has anyone here heard of Paperinik? I know he’s pretty famous in Italy, not sure about Europe though. Anyways, he’s the superhero alias for Donal Duck. It’s a spin off comic book series from the Topolino (Mickey Mouse) comic book still being published in Italy.

Anywho, Paperinik became famous enough to get his own comic book series which had a lengthy life span (it may still be being published). The best part of the series was how surprisingly dark some of the events and characters were in the book, as Donald Duck faced off hordes of alien invaders from another planet with Batman-like gear (complete with secret hide-out). I would love to see a resurrection of this character in the US. I also mention this because it seems that Paperinik was half-inspired from Marvel comics.

Not sure if you can keep this here, but I’m posting up a wikipedia link. pic and info are all there.

I believe the this entire thing can be summed up in one sentence:
A Whole New World…
But I’m not sure I would be calling myself a true-believer as StanLee once put it. It does make for great fun though…
Is anyone from Disney looking to hire (yeah, I’m serious)?

You may not know, but Egmont (the guys who accept new Disney comics in Denmark) once published a story called “Spider-Mouse”, in which Mickey turned into a four-arm mouse similarly to Spiderman (well, actually it obviously imitates Spidey’s story). Here’s a link about it:
