Mickey Transformers

Say hello to Mecha-Mouse!

Going on sale next month in Japan are a pair of Mickey Mouse Transformers toys. One in shimmering black and white (Steampunk Willie?), the other in glorious multiplane Techincolor. No word yet on a Pluto-bot, Goofytron or Decepta-Duck.

More cool pictures of robo-Mickey below and here.

(Thanks, Ed Austin)

  • Fantastic. I love the look of these. This is a stroke of genius. In fact, every cartoon license should look at doing Transformers.

  • gaastra

Japan only. Not coming to america.

  • When you flick between the first two images on the gallery page of that second link, it looks like he’s doing a little dance!

  • Danielle

That’s pretty cool! Now if only the exchange rate was better…

  • Nic Kramer

Reminds me of those battle robot comics stories that Don Markstein wrote and appeared in Gemstone’s Disney comic books line.

  • Bartholomew

One hopes there’ll be no “Silly Symphonies Unleashed” tv series from this.

  • Paul N

    Sweet!

  • I like the B&W Mickey Transformer !

  • Justin

Heh, excellent! The design is awesome and the black & white version shows they were into the project! I wish I could get one!

  • Opti-mickey Prime?

    So weird.

  • Trademark infringement? Is this a Disney-authorized product?

  • Ohman

    Hasbro…

  • GlueEater

Wow! This looks so much better than it sounds. Great idea.

  • Pedro Nakama

As long as Disney doesn’t make it into a movie with Shia LaBeouf. No, No, No, No, No!

  • Pixel

    Nina Paley, are you kidding?
    haha

Of course this is official, Tomy makes Transformers for Japan.
They’ve been licensing for Hasbro and Disney for a while now.

Hey…I’ll put this one on the shelf right next to my Cinderella waistpaper basket I bought in Tijuana while I was sitting in my car at the border inspection station….

  • Much better than the Star Wars Transformers.

  • Shellie Kvilvang

This just might be my 2 year olds ultimate dream
