In honor of the 70th Anniversary of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, Steve Worth has posted images from an an incredible scrapbook of material relating to the landmark Disney film.

The Snow White scrapbook was created by Disney animator Clair Weeks and was donated to the Asifa Hollywood Animation Archive several months ago by the Weeks family. I’ve seen this book in person and it’s the only way to truly appreciate it. If you can’t get to the archive, Steve will be posting better images and digitizing this material properly after the holidays. In the meantime, go here now for a taste of things to come.

I was wondering could you post images of the drawings on the wall behind the scrapbook? I don’t know what cartoon they are for but I’m quite interested.

Hi!
today I decided I wanted to visit all of my favorite blogs and say Merry Christmas, and Cartoon Brew is one of them. I just wanted to say thanks because I read you every morning and you bring a lot of inspiration to my artwork.
So:
Thank you very much. I really wish you a merry Christmas and a wonderful new year!

Victoria, the drawings behind the scrapbook are part of our current exhibit of artwork by Grim Natwick. Here’s the…

The particular panel behind the scrapbook is the “Golden Age” section. You can find a hires photo of it there. Lots to look at!

I am looking for a remake of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs called Snow White and the seven Dwarfells. Mother Nature is in charge of them and they all have their different duties nature related. This is a movie my daughter had 12 years ago and I haven’t been able to find it. Can you offer me any advise on how to find it. I would love to surprise her with it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Judy

Judy – Look for that film on Amazon.com under the title HAPPILY EVER AFTER. It was the last production Filmation ever released.
