i’m there.
Hey, some NorCal news! Nice!
Awesome! Looking forward to it.
I’ll be there. For as many events as I can fit into my schedule and budget.
I just wish the festival hadn’t used the word “Maverick” to describe Deitch. There’s yet another thing the Republicans have screwed up. (it’s just a joke, son)
Wish I could be there. Deitch was the best thing to happen to Terrytoons and Bill Weiss just couldn’t see it. Too bad his Rembrandt fare (Brodax Popeyes, Tom & Jerry) didn’t pass as much muster.
Gene Deitch’s stuff is timeless and a lot cooler than anything being done at this cutting edge moment by anyone.
Is Mighty Manfred colored pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month?
His Terrytoons stuff was fun but his Tom & Jerry’s were hideous I thought. The sound effects in those things just made me cringe.
…You know, I never knew Mighty Manfred was pink.
Has a full schedule for this event been posted yet? I can’t find one, nor can I find a way to get tickets for specific days.
hiya, we made a mistake in the sched the first time around. SITA will screen at 7:00 and 9:15 on Thursday, Nov. 13. Hope to see everyone there!
