If you are a member of Asifa Hollywood, this is a killer week: you can meet Henry Selick, Peter Docter and Wes Anderson and see their films at free screenings in Los Angeles. And at each one, yours truly, Brewmaster Jerry Beck will conduct a Q&A with the filmmakers (that’s my mug above with two puppets from Coraline from my session with Henry Selick last week in Ottawa). If you haven’t RSVP’d yet – do it now. Info is posted here.

Tonight at 7pm is the screening of UP with Pete Docter at the Chinese Theatre (6925 Hollywood Blvd.) in Hollywood. I know this is short notice, but they’ve opened it up to all members of the Animation Guild, students from Cal Arts and readers of Cartoon Brew. But you have to RSVP. If you can make it, call (818) 560-4350 right now to reserve your seat – it’s FREE!! See you there!

Moments like this make me regret not transferring to a school in California.
Anyways hope it goes well and you get less fanboy/girl absurdity than Selick’s Q&A at Ottawa.

Anyone else having problems with Firefox and CartoonBrew today? All other sites load – and IE works fine (for a change). But FF takes forever to load cartoonbrew.

I called the RSVP line and left my info, will there be a confirmation for my ticket/seat? Or is it first come first served seats?

Your name will be on the “list” at the door. Seating is first come, first served.

Does anyone know whether the Fantastic Mr. Fox screening allows one guest? I can’t find this information anywhere…Thanks.

Not sure where else to write this but the screening thing reminded me – is there gonna be a writeup or a link to the Iron Giant thing? That was last Friday right? Sorry for being slightly off-topic!
