Was that the robot from that episode of Stainboy? Cute spot, anyway!

the first nice Tim Burton work I’ve seen since Ed Wood, he’s one guy who specially doesn’t function well using CGI, he’s an stop-motion guy, or a puppet guy, I don’t want to see his Alice in Wonderland. I loved this clip, instead.

I’m so looking forward to this show! Moma does a great job presenting animation art.

MoMA’s also showing The Adventures of Prince Achmed on the 15th, with a good quality print and live piano music:

This is great. My only bitch about Burton in recent years is the way he’s abandoned story for spectacle in everything but Big Fish. I always see his movies, though.

cool animated short. I liked the robot.

Isaac says:

There’s a lot of individuality in this. I’ve seen scary clown balloons blow up before, and I’ve seen robots agonize over their menial labor before, but not like that.

Crap, why’s it always at the NY MOMA the bay area needs some love.

I viewed the collection yesterday and was blown away. I think the exhibit really demonstrated the evolution of Burton over the past 3 decades and I thought the multimedia aspects were a great touch. I’ve written more here: http://popculture2point0.wordpress.com/2009/12/13/a-burton-exhibit-before-christmas/
