Schla La Las Video by Ben Cowell

 To take a break from his day job as a CG animator at Nexus Productions, Brew reader Ben Cowell created a stop-motion music video for the The Schla La Las animated entirely with Lego. are the lego people copyrighted?
If you do something commercial with them- thats not allowed is it? I assume they turn a blind eye to fan projects, but if I want to sell something with their toys in it I need their permission, right?
