J.J. Sedelmaier recently developed and directed a tv/print ad campaign for the Chicago Tribune which is quite effective in its stark simplicity. The first animated spot is currently posted on the Tribune website. In the ad, there’s a great unexpected gag of the baby flying past the couch - a perfect illustration of how humor is achievable even with the most basic of character designs, if the timing and execution are right.
