Up meets Gran Torino
December 18, 2009 12:05 am
USC film student Daniel Johnson noticed a few similarities between Pixar’s Up and Clint Eastwood’s Gran Torino. So he recut Up’s trailer and combined it with Gran Torino’s soundtrack to prove his point: |
Wow. This was some funny stuff.
Wish I could have laughed out loud, but it’s 3:13 in the morning.
Creepy.
THAT was funny! I WAS kinda reminded of “Gran Torino” while I watched “Up”.
I thought Up was like David Lynch’s “The Straight Story”.
HARRY BROWN would have been a better audio choice than the soggy, limp GRAN TORINO.
Pixar should’ve contacted Clint Eastwood instead of Ed Asner.
Wow! Seems like a lot of work to sync up the dialogue with parts of “Up” and still make it look like a real trailer.
And indeed: Clint Eastwood would make a good voice for an animated film…
Wow, neat stuff. And did this sort of thing all begin with “Apocalypse Pooh”?
Good editing job :)
Nicely done.
Great editing job. Now, get the f&*3k off my lawn!
wow I thought about Gran Torino after seeing Up in theater, too!
Looks like lot of people did^^ Awesome editing.
awesome! :) Really fun and FUNNY :)
EXCELLENT editing job. Makes ya think too.
I always knew Carl was a badass. Lol.
Nice effort. Would’ve been better if you didn’t use the kid for two different characters from Gran Torino, esp. the young priest.
