Animated Fragments #1

It used to be that animators posted only finished films on-line, but increasingly I’ve noticed that even short animation tests and experiments find their way onto animators’ video streams. Promising ideas and techniques are often explored in these fragments, and while they don’t necessarily merit a full blog post on the Brew, I wanted to create a space to share them. And that’s how we ended up with Animated Fragments, a semi-regular round-up of noteworthy bits and pieces of animation.

What a great idea. I love this kind of stuff. My favorite out of this group was Bone Dog. The simplicity of the duplicated loop is beautiful.

Really cool to see Polly’s work featured. I really like that Factor one though! I dont know what its advertising but the style just suits the music so well, i only wish it was longer :)

I liked the factory clip the most! I love the use of dept, and for some reason the contrast is really nice even thought it’s in black in white! Bone Dog was definitely trippy, and stuck together reminded me of the MTV id Patrick Smith did, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRwm0DRhSug!

can you create an “animated fragments” category so we can just click that and see all the videos post attached as opposed to this af#1, af#2, etc. ?
