This clever 2007 animated/live action film by Alan and Frank Shannon, was produced by Dublin based animation studio Jam Media for RTE, Ireland’s public broadcasting channel. It’s in two parts on YouTube, Part 1 above, Part 2 here

I like the animated performance of Roy, but I struggled to sit through the whole thing.

The story idea is a big gimmick. It feels like they just came up with the idea and had a check list of “stuff that happens in documentaries”. And just went down the list.

I’ve seen so many bad student films do this same idea in some fashion, and this really didn’t separate itself from them in any noticeable way, aside from the quality of the animation.

Wait until hollywood remakes this and call it: “Badly Rendered Troy… in real 3-D!”

I really did enjoy watching this “documentary” and I did skip some of the family interviews partly because I just wanted to see what Roy had to say. And yes we’ve seen this idea before in many student films but it was 100 time more entertaining.

A bit long, but nicely done.

Did anybody else notice in the beginning the lady was unfolding the blankets and then folding them again very badly?
