It takes restraint to use 2D motion graphics in as straightforward a manner as Ashley Rae Pearsall’s Embrace. The effect is surprisingly dramatic. The short was made in the School of Visual Arts’ Computer Arts program.

    Pretty Cool! I suspect that someone in the commercial world will pick up on this pretty quick and refashion it for an ad. Student work, for better or worse, is often the place that creative directors look to for getting new ideas.
