Newman on Newman
March 3, 2010 12:03 am
Call me immature, but the combination of drawings and voices makes me laugh. It’s animated by Rob Bohn, and voiced by Bohn and Nate Milton. Bohn and Milton, both recent graduates of SVA, are part of the Brooklyn-based collective Amigo Unit which has numerous other short animation experiments on Vimeo. |
When I arrived over here, I saw it said “No comments.” That’s all I could think in my head, “No comment.”
Can’t impress Germans with this. We all have seen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rypULAp99ao numerous times, it’s a short by Loriot from 1978, and every German can cite the lines.
Wow, this is hilarious, and I’m not even really sure why. but I know I’ll be revisiting this every once in a while for a chuckle.
You are immature.
Randy Newman needs to die so he can spin in his grave over this.

I don’t really get this. Perhaps there’s something I should know beforehand to appreciate the joke?
There’s something oddly disgusting about those black spots on the caricatured Randy Newman’s back.
I wonder how the real Randy Newman would react to this animation. I guess he’d probably be amused.
And what’s up with the second – less tanned – Randy Newman?
I said I didn’t get it … right?
Original title: The Circular Jerks Slam Success!
The Newman impression was borrowed from Will Sasso:

Sasso also voiced Newman on the Y2K episode of FAMILY GUY.
Newman on Newman is good.
Haha I’ve watched this several times now and its great!
don’t over-think this: there’s nothing to get. it’s just supposed to be funny.
