MouthOff
March 19, 2009 1:08 pm
Lots of interesting new animation-related iPhone apps are being released, and I’m going try and write about as many as I can on the Brew. Mouthoff is an iPhone app that applies a crude animated lip-sync to voice inputs into the phone. It’s kind of like Clutch Cargo in reverse—instead of cartoons with human mouths, it’s real people with cartoon mouths. It can be downloaded for $1 from the iTunes store. Here’s an example of how it works: (Thanks, Rob) |
Too bad it’s only a opening and closing mouth detecting sound, because it’s feels too much like a cheap gadget this way (well, that’s what it is, but there’s always a way to do something of this kind actually interesting and uh, “cute”).
wow that rules!
Don’t forget the very cool iChalky!
Let’s see one with a cute animated lit cigarette! (We may as well get as much mileage out of cartoon smoking as we can now, before it all goes the way of Disney’s censored PECOS BILL “rolling the cigarette” sequence.)
I don’t have an iPhone, but I’d actually buy that app if I did.
What a cool app, simple throw away laughter, love it
Wouldn’t mind seeing an ‘anime’ setting where the mouth is only two or three drawings of it open and closed and still goes out of sync with your voice! ^_^
Awww, man….I might have to get one of those damn things now…
I haven’t tried them yet, so I don’t know how much fun they are, but you also have
- Anime Maker

and
- LED Animator

iPhone apps.
Awesome! I have to get that!
What? No talking asshole?
