“Voor de Show” Opening Titles

Voor de Show

These elegantly styled and animated “cartoon modern” titles were made for the Flemish media news programs Voor de Show by Tom Hautekiet and Mark Borgions. Jazz trumpeter Bert Joris provides the music, and the show’s art director is Luc Lemaitre. I don’t know what follows these titles, but they set a nice mood, and evoke a positive feeling, kind of like the opening and closing titles of Calvin and the Colonel.

the belgium Flemish have Long tradition of Animation
    specially in “cartoon modern” style
(wat so “modern” on this stile, wen it was already used in 1950s by Flemish animators?)
Pioneer of this is Flemish Animation master Raoul Servais
in 1963 he open the first school of Animation (the first in Europe)
at “Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten” in town of Gent
alos he create “Centre Belge du Film d’Animation” the “Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds”
who support Animators in there Work

i try several times to call attention on Raoul Servais work here in this Blog….vainly

according to the press release, what follows is a “media magazine”, a daily program with “positive” news about stars (Belgian ones in particular).

    But anyway, what lovely titles!

    Very nice.

The only thing I don’t like about the “Calvin and the Colonel” closing credits is that the animators Harvey Toombs and C.L. Hartman names are cut off by the animation.
