Nominations have been announced for the 70th annual Emmy Awards, presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

There’s never a lot of variety in the animated program category, with Bob’s Burgers, The Simpsons, and South Park nominated nearly every year, including this year. All three have also been nominated together for four of the previous five years (2013, 2015, 2016, 2017). The newcomers in the category are Big Hero 6: The Series and Rick & Morty, both of which are nominated for the first time. (Rick & Morty is also nominated a second time for the vr experience Virtual Rick-ality, which competes in the creative achievement in interactive media/scripted programs category.)

For short form animated programs, Cartoon Network dominates the category with four of the five nominations – Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Teen Titans Go!, and We Bare Bears. The fifth nomination belongs to its sister company, Adult Swim, for the Robot Chicken special “Freshly Baked: The Robot Chicken Santa Claus Pot Cookie Freakout Special.”

A list of all the nominees in the animation-related categories can be found below. For the full list of nominees in all categories, visit the Emmy website.

Final-round online voting begins August 13. The winners will be decided by the 23,000+ voting members of the Television Academy. The Creative Arts Emmy Awards will be presented on September 8 and 9 in Los Angeles, followed by the remainder of the Emmy Awards on September 17.
