The Secret Diary Of A High Rise The Secret Diary Of A High Rise

Stephen Ong’s animated short The Secret Diary of a High Rise is now available online, having recently screened at several British animation festivals.

The short features anthropomorphized buildings of all shapes and sizes as they experience the ups and downs of life in the big city. Its protagonist, a high-rise tower block, of course, catches up with old friends and remembers relationships from years gone by.

Bold colors and impressive lighting create a fun, nightlife atmosphere. First-person narration from the High Rise is accompanied by a jazzy soundtrack – scored by Jon Hugo Ungar – making the short feel like it was recorded inside a smokey club during an open-mic spoken-word poetry night.

The Secret Diary of a High Rise was produced by Adam Wells and features narration by Sasha Goguel.
