Disney Television Animation has appointed two new vice presidents of development as it develops its streaming and linear slates.

Here are the details:

  • Lisa Fragner (top, left) has joined the division full-time, having consulted for it since April. She was previously a vp and head of development at Blue Sky from 2003 until Disney closed it in April.
  • At Blue Sky, she was involved with developing features like Ice Age: Dawn of The Dinosaurs, Horton Hears a Who, Rio, Spies in Disguise, and the currently-uncompleted Nimona.
  • She also secured rights to feature film properties for 20th Century Fox Animation (which owned Blue Sky) and Fox Family, such as the animated project Confessions of an Imaginary Friend (unproduced).
  • Elizabeth Waybright Taylor (right) has been promoted to the same role, and will oversee the development of new animated Disney Channel content for kids aged 6–11 and families.
  • In her 11-year career at Disney Television Animation, she has held various roles, most recently executive director, development. She has also worked at Nickelodeon.
  • Shows she has helped develop include Disney+’s The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse, Disney Channel’s Amphibia and the upcoming Kiff, and the recently greenlit Primos.
  • Both Fragner and Taylor will report to Emily Hart, svp, animation development at Disney Branded Television.
  • Hart said of Taylor, “She has an eye toward curating character-driven comedies and is a strong partner and ally to talent.”
  • Meanwhile, Meredith Roberts, Disney Branded Television’s svp and general manager, Television Animation, praised Fragner’s “acute creative and business sense — especially as a longtime mentor of creator talent from underrepresented groups.”
