Apple TV+ unveiled its spring kids and family lineup this week, along with an announcement that the platform will host a new animated adaptation of Frog and Toad, premiering on April 28.
Frog and Toad details:
- Apple’s synopsis reads: “Frog is a frog. Toad is a toad. They have a lot in common … but they are also very different. Frog and Toad are best friends who know that the true secret to friendship is not only enjoying the things you have in common but embracing the things that make you different. Our differences are what makes us special, and Frog and Toad celebrate them in what makes them unique.”
- Based on the iconic Caldecott and Newbery Award-winning children’s books by Arnold Lobel, Frog and Toad is showrun by Rob Hoegee with Titmouse producing its animation. Executive producers are Hoegee, Adrianne Lobel, Adam Lobel, and Titmouse’s Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina.
- The series’ voice cast includes Nat Faxon, Kevin Michael Richardson, Ron Funches, Fortune Feimster, Cole Escola, Aparna Nancherla, Yvette Nicole Brown, Margaret Cho, and more.
