Breaking: MeTV Toons, A New, Free 24/7 Cartoon Network, Will Launch This June In The U.S.

If you weren’t able to get away from your studio job in LA to attend the first edition of the GLAS Animation Festival earlier this month in Berkeley, fret not — it’s coming to you. Tonight!

The Best of GLAS 2016 will screen tonight at the Los Angeles Downtown Independent (251 S. Main Street), and includes some of this year’s award winners, including Peripheria, Sunday Lunch, and With Joy and Merriness, as well as festival favorites like Yúl et le Serpent and Still Life.

The screening starts at 8:30pm. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased through this link. ASIFA members and students receive a 15% discount with the following code: GLASASIFA.

GLAS’s inaugural edition up north was a big hit: both an awesomely inspiring showcase of all the fine animation work that is being produced nowadays, and equally important, a remarkable gathering of artists from around the globe. Tonight’s screening is a solid introduction to the world of independent animation, and will hopefully inspire you to seek out the complete festival experience when it returns next spring to Berkeley.

Here’s the line-up of shorts that’ll be offered tonight:
