Wow, who else writes in such depth on their corporate website? Those TCM folks know what they’re doing. Give them some animation to show!

“Rare”? Back when I was growing up in Chicago I could count on this film (titled “Hoppity Goes To Town”) showing up annually on WGN’s “Family Classics” hosted by Frasier Thomas. Back then, of course, WGN was a local station that hadn’t gone cable yet and Thomas’s other gig was playing opposite a puppet named Garfield Goose.

    Memories.

First time ever I have seen this movie with the original Paramount logo at the beginning, most prints have this chopped. Although the TCM print showed some scratches, the colors were bright and the sound superb. Always wondered why no soundtrack disc was ever issued, although not all the music was great, you would think the talents of Frank Loesser and Hoagy would have gotten some sales. Not too late, why not a current CD? Let’s get to work on it!
