Korea’s ‘Red Shoes and The 7 Dwarfs’ Gets A Teaser

South Korean CG/VFX house Locus Creative Studios recently released a trailer for its fairy tale parody, Red Shoes & The 7 Dwarfs, currently in production.

The family-friendly feature will “tackle the inconvenient truth about Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” according to the film’s director, Sung-ho Hong (Egg-Cola: A Miracle in the Desert). In the movie, the dwarfs are actually handsome knights who have been placed under a spell. To lift the curse, they must recover a pair of magical red shoes that are being worn by a woman who has put on a few extra pounds.

The $12 million, English-language family film is currently slated for release in late-2017. Korean sales company Finecut is handling international sales for the film.

    this could be fun …

It’s slightly inappropriate and borderline offensive, but the animation looks good and funny!

Could be worse. If this is partly-based on the Hans Christian Andersen story, hopefully they won’t have her feet amputated because of diabetes.

Is this the same company that made the “Nut Job” movies?

  • ea

So they’re combining two stories into one movie: Snow White and the Red Shoes?

I just realized Asian standards of beauty are exactly the same as Disney lol.

you mean they like ladies who are walking bug eyed lollipops since they will not bother trying to make a babe as pretty as Roger rabbit’s wife jessica that is why i am going to after jessica was only owned by disney but she was truly created by my hero tex avery

Anyone really irked by the voice acting? It sounds very… off.

No doubt there will be lesson about accepting yourself as you really are.

Looks like it could be fun. It seems kinda politically incorrect and maybe even sexist by modern standards but I can totally picture it in a Tex Avery cartoon. And yeah, it may have a good message at the end. It’s interesting to see some adult animated movies like this or Sausage Party.

well maybe they are more shocked than disgusted about her true form that she is hiding from the outside world but i am wondering how on earth does this babe leave her house looking thin but she is pudgy when she takes her clothes off

    • I suspect that are the shoes. They must be magic if they are that Red Shoes.

Also, I noticed that the trailer didn’t end with the chair breaking and falling on the dwarves–a typical gag normally used when dealing with larger characters.
