WHAT IS THE MOST VALUABLE PIECE OF ARTISTIC ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER RECEIVED, AND FROM WHO?
I think the most valuable piece of advice I’ve ever received was from my mentor in college. I was telling him about how my teachers didn’t understand or like what I was doing in my work, and about how hard it was to please them. He just asked me if I still liked what I was making, sort of a right moment thing I guess, because it hit me hard. In the end I didn’t listen to those teachers and they ended up telling me I had the right idea all along.
