Canadian Screen Awards 2024 Canadian Screen Awards 2024

The Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television has announced the 2024 Canadian Screen Award nominations.

This year’s CSAs, Canada’s equivalent of the Oscars and Emmys if they were combined, will be held on the weekend of May 28-31 at the CBC Broadcast Centre in Toronto, the headquarters of the public broadcaster that will air the final night of the awards on May 31.

Despite the region’s flourishing indie feature animation sector and an influx of major Hollywood studios setting up satellite offices in Canada, the CSAs still don’t have a feature animation category. That said, there are numerous tv and digital categories dedicated to the craft, and the short film selection is stacked as always.

Here is a complete list of all the animation, vfx, and video game nominees for this year’s CSAs.
