CEE Animation Forum 2026 CEE Animation Forum 2026

The CEE Animation Forum, Eastern Europe’s leading platform for ambitious animated projects, has unveiled 33 titles set ot pitch at its 14th edition, which will run November 10-12 in Pilsen, Czech Republic. Chosen from more than 160 submissions, the lineup includes seven feature films, 10 series and TV specials, 10 short films, and six student short films.

Projects from Central and Eastern Europe account for roughly two-thirds of this year’s selection, with Czechia and France leading the field with seven projects each, followed by Poland (five), Hungary (four), and Bulgaria (three). More than half of the selected projects are aimed at young adult and adult audiences, while hand-drawn animation remains the dominant technique across the lineup.

The Forum also announced that it will introduce the new Council of Europe Series Co-Production Development Award, worth €50,000, reflecting the growing prominence of animated series and TV specials within the event. Overall, projects will compete for more than €50,000 in cash and industry awards while seeking financing and co-production partners.
