20th Century Studios released a new trailer for The Bob’s Burgers Movie today, providing a more detailed look at the Belcher family’s transition to the big screen.

As is the case in many of the show’s episodes, the trailer features the Belchers against a financial wall, with Bob groaning despondently at the dinner table about the grim prospects facing the family burger joint and their attached apartment.

After ominous scenes at a bank and plenty of attempts on Linda’s behalf to improve Bob’s mood, things go from bad to much worse when the water main explodes under the street in front of the restaurant, creating a massive sinkhole.

The Bob’s Burgers Movie is directed by series creator Loren Bouchard (Home Movies, Central Park) alongside series director Bernard Derriman from a screenplay by Bouchard and series writer Nora Smith. Many of the series regulars are in attendance in the trailer: Teddy, Mort, Mr. Fischoeder, Jimmy Jr, Zeke, and more.

Disney’s 20th Century Studios produced the film. The animation is led from the U.S. by L.A.-headquartered Bento Box, with numerous international studios involved in the production including Seoul’s Yeson Entertainment, Ottawa’s Mercury Filmworks, Montreal’s Tonic DNA, and Kilkenny, Ireland’s Lighthouse Studios.

The Bob’s Burgers Movie is currently scheduled for theatrical debut on May 27.
