They’re Called Looney Tunes For A Reason: ‘Coyote vs. Acme’ Soundtrack Gets A Vinyl Release

Coyote vs. Acme finally hit theaters this weekend, but as a Looney Tunes film, it’s also getting an appropriately elaborate vinyl release.

Iam8bit and WaterTower Music have opened pre-orders for Steven Price’s score, which pays tribute to Carl Stalling’s classic Looney Tunes music while bringing the characters into a modern courtroom comedy. Price rewatched the original cartoons for inspiration, incorporated archival sound effects into the rhythm tracks, and worked with the brass section to create the sound of Wile E. Coyote being run over by a truck and regurgitating its tires.

Four unique physical editions will be released, the first two available on 8bit’s website, the latter through select retailers:

• 180 Gram Edition – Pressed on heavy black vinyl

• iam8bit Limited Edition – 300 copies, Black & Red vinyl, autographed by director Dave Green and composer Steven Price.

• Acme Splat Edition – Available only at Enjoy The Ride Records

• Coyote Crimson Marble Edition – Available only at select retailers.

Pre-orders run through September 29, with orders expected to ship in the first quarter of 2027. The soundtrack is also available now on major streaming platforms.
