Following up on the success of Avatar: The Last Airbender In Concert, Paramount, GEA Live, and Senbla are expanding the Avatar franchise’s live concert offerings with The Legend of Korra In Concert, a new orchestral tour launching in January 2027.
Like its predecessor, the production combines a live symphony orchestra with high-definition footage from the Nickelodeon series, presenting Korra’s story chronologically while showcasing Emmy-winning composer Jeremy Zuckerman’s score. Unlike the more traditionally orchestrated music of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Korra blends classical arrangements with jazz, electronic, and world music influences, reflecting the sequel series’ more modern-feeling setting.
The North American tour begins January 10 in Omaha and will visit more than 20 cities, including Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Boston, and Brooklyn. A simultaneous European leg launches January 31 with stops in 10 cities. More details and full schedule here.
The tour also marks the 15th anniversary of The Legend of Korra, which premiered on Nickelodeon in 2012. Tickets go on sale July 17.
In a release, Zuckerman said:
The music of The Legend of Korra explores a very different emotional and musical landscape than Avatar: The Last Airbender, blending orchestral, jazz, and electronic influences to reflect Korra’s more modern world. Hearing that score performed live brings a new level of energy to the music, and allows audiences to experience the story in a completely different way.
The concert comes at a time of upheaval at Paramount, which is looking to acquire Warner Bros. and meeting heavy resistance while doing so, and the company’s Avatar franchise is no exception. The once destined-for-cinemas feature Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender was instead relegated straight to streaming and later leaked online.
