Leading indie animation studio Titmouse and immersive entertainment company Meow Wolf have partnered in a multi-year deal that includes an original animated series, animation for Meow Wolf’s upcoming Los Angeles exhibition, and other cross-platform creative projects.

Our readers will surely be familiar with Titmouse, but for those who don’t know Meow Wolf, the company is known for its sprawling, narrative-driven immersive art installations. The group operates permanent attractions in Santa Fe, Las Vegas, Denver, the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and Houston. Its next exhibition is scheduled to open in Los Angeles later this year.

The two groups’ new collaboration includes co-development of an original animated series based on Meow Wolf’s interconnected story universe, with both companies serving as executive producers. Titmouse co-founder and CEO Chris Prynoski will oversee development for the studio.

Titmouse will also produce and direct animation for Meow Wolf’s upcoming Los Angeles exhibition, which is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2026, while consulting on the attraction’s visual and narrative design.

In a release, Prynoski explained:

The first time I experienced Meow Wolf, my third eye popped open like a busted piñata. The color and texture and sound and chaos reverse-bled into my psychic veins. I instantly knew these artists and their souls, although I had not yet met them. Now we are teaming up to tell stories that burst from the page onto the screen and then into the real world. Together, we’re not just pushing the envelope of animation, we’re folding it into an origami spirit and riding it through the psychedelic multiverse.

James Stephenson, Meow Wolf’s senior vice president and creative director of emerging media, added:

Titmouse and Meow Wolf are born from the same place – artist-founded, artist-driven, fearless and independent. Both studios have always been interested in finding the outer edges of what a story can be, what an audience can experience, and what is creatively even possible. By teaming up, we have brought together talents from many different disciplines to craft an experience in LA that is unlike any other – a truly new way to immerse yourself in our stories and worlds. And we could not be more excited to be partnering with them now to bring those stories and worlds to life far beyond our exhibition walls.

Fans will get their first look at the collaboration during a San Diego Comic-Con panel, “Weirder Together: Meow Wolf + Titmouse,” on Thursday, July 23.

Additional details about Meow Wolf’s Los Angeles exhibition and the companies’ animation projects will be announced in the coming months.
